Edelweiss Air will add an additional flight per week between Zurich, Switzerland and Vancouver, beginning in June 2015.

The additional flights will take advantage of the busy summer travel season and will provide passengers with more choice and flexibility.

Headquartered in Zurich, Edelweiss Air is a wholly owned subsidiary of Swiss International Air Lines and the Lufthansa Group.

“We are thrilled that Edelweiss Air is increasing its presence in the Vancouver market,” said Craig Richmond, president and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority. “This additional seasonal service strengthens trade and tourism ties between the two regions and will have significant impact to the B.C. economy.”

Edelweiss will operate their thrice weekly flights from June 1, 2015 to September 28, 2015.

Flights will depart from Vancouver on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and leave Zurich on the same days.
