KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is now providing a unique gifting service KLM Wannagives on its intercontinental and long distance European flights.

With this service KLM allows people to surprise a travelling friend or family member with a present at an altitude of 9,000 metres.

Via the webshop klm.com/wannagives, KLM offers a varied assortment of attentions: a glass of champagne, an extra comfortable seat, a bottle of perfume or bonbons.

The gift wrapped present will be hand-delivered by the crew.

The giver can add a personal message on the accompanying card.

Fitting its little acts of kindness belief, KLM is the first airline offering a range of gifts to surprise a travelling family member or friend on board.

“On Facebook and Twitter, we often received requests to surprise travellers for their honeymoon, birthday or anniversary,” said Martijn van der Zee, senior vice president e-commerce Air France KLM. “It was quite a logical step to facilitate this. Gift-giving above the clouds will make the journey a unique experience.”

It is also possible to surprise someone who’s not travelling since KLM Wannagives offers home delivery, too.

KLM Flying Blue members can use their mileage points for their purchase.
