Vancouver Airport Authority Board welcomes new director

Anna K. Fung, Q.C., now sits on Vancouver Airport Authority’s Board of Directors.

Mary Jordan, Chair of Vancouver Airport Authority Board of Directors, recently welcomed Anna K. Fung, Q.C., to the Board.

“Anna Fung’s legal expertise and extensive knowledge of community engagement will be of tremendous benefit as we continue to develop YVR’s potential as a key global gateway,” said Jordan. “We are delighted to welcome her to the Board.”

Fung, nominated by The Law Society of British Columbia, currently serves as vice president, legal & general counsel at TimberWest Forest Corp. and has previously held senior counsel positions with Intrawest ULC and Terasen Inc.

Elected Bencher of the BC Law Society for 10 years and as its president in 2007, Fung has also served as president of the Association of Chinese Canadian Professionals (B.C.), president of the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association and Chair of the People’s Law School.

Other accolades include the 2004 RVA Jones Canadian Corporate Counsel Award, the 2007 YWCA Woman of Distinction Award in the Business & Professions category and, most recently, the 2012 UBC Law Alumni Award of Distinction.

Fung also serves on the Boards of the Vancouver Foundation, the Law Foundation of British Columbia and the Arts Club Theatre Society.
