On March 1, employees of Vancouver International Airport (YVR) will participate in Climb the Wall 2026, a notable stair-climb fundraiser held at the Wall Centre in Downtown Vancouver. This event aims to support the BC Lung Foundation through a challenging physical activity that highlights the importance of lung health.
Participants will ascend the 48-storey stairwell of the Wall Centre, an effort that not only tests endurance but also raises essential funds for lung‑health research, education, and programs dedicated to assisting individuals living with lung disease throughout British Columbia. The climb serves as a poignant reminder of how vital breathing is to every aspect of daily life.
The YVR team comprises members of the Fire & Rescue department, who will undertake the ascent while donned in full operational gear. Their participation underscores their commitment and resilience in supporting a cause that impacts thousands across the province.
This year’s initiative reflects a collective effort to raise awareness and build meaningful support for lung health, emphasizing the importance of community involvement in addressing the health challenges faced by many British Columbians.
