Global carsharing company car2go has expanded its one-way carsharing service to Richmond and Sea Island, providing its 75,000-plus Vancouver members with airport access and parking near YVR, via an exclusive partnership with Pacific Gateway Hotel.
“Pacific Gateway Hotel at Vancouver Airport is excited by our partnership with car2go,” said Donald Pinkney, director of sales and marketing for Pacific Gateway Hotel. “Having this service offered at the hotel provides a convenient amenity for all our guests both travelling to and from Vancouver International Airport.”
Designated parking spaces will be reserved for car2go vehicles at the Pacific Gateway Hotel parking lot, located at 3500 Cessna Drive. Members do not have to pay the hotel for using these parking spaces; instead, an additional $7.50 charge will be billed to the member’s account for each trip taken to or from the Pacific Gateway Hotel parking lot. Parking is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
If all the car2go spots are occupied, car2go members follow the “Overflow Parking” signs to end their trip in additional car2go designated parking spaces.
Due to the nature of airport travel, no stopovers will be allowed at the hotel location; all trips must be ended when leaving a car2go at the Pacific Gateway Hotel.
Members should make sure a vehicle is available before boarding the Pacific Gateway Hotel shuttle at the airport. Members can reserve a car2go through free iPhone and Android apps, the Facebook finder/reservation system at Vancouver.car2go.com or by calling 855-454-1002.
